香港美食 – Linguini Fini
終於找到機會來試試這家意菜店。
假日下午闖進來,不用和白領們爭位,可以舒舒服服慢慢吃。此店不設訂位,以大眾化形式經營,主要賣意麵及簡單意式料理。
前菜點了 Mortadella 煙燻腸,是小卡最喜歡的 cold cut 之一,帶脂肪的豬肉,加以胡椒及開心果製成,肉質幼細兼帶輕微的燻味,不錯。
意麵要了兩款,方型麵配以豬肉、牛尾及番茄製成的肉醬。肉煮得爛,再加上大量起司,很膩。方型麵切得夠薄,硬度剛好,吃來有勁。
另一款是招牌 Linguini,煮得有咬口,醬是風乾番茄製的,比較簡單的口味,可惜點了兩款均是以番茄為基調的意麵,吃起來不免有重複的感覺。
甜品要了這個 apple crostata,以為是類似蘋果派的東西,那知餅底又厚又硬,想練牙力的朋友不容錯過。
反而點個簡單的單球雪糕還好,雖然不夠幼滑,但起碼有草莓肉在內。
總結是意麵不錯,其他就要看運氣,據小頭說主菜好像也不太行,如果還會再來的話,下次只會點麵類。

You are right, crostata is like apple pie. It’s the Italian version of the French galette; it’s a free-form tart. It should be rough-looking, but never rough-tasting. The crust texture is crumbly, shortbread-like, and is crunchier than regular desserts because it’s usually fillled with jam or cream or fruits; however, it shouldn’t be hard. If it’s hard and thick and is too hard to bite, then it must have been over-baked. Crostata is very delicious if baked correctly…

Thanks. Your description matches with my expectation. That’s why I was so surprised after my first bite as it wasn’t crunchy at all …
Hi, I wonder if I could ask you to recommend a few good French restaurants in Hong Kong? I don’t mind the price as long as the food is good.

My favourite is Petrus, Chez Les Copains in Sai Kung is also good, St. George (in 1881) may worth a try. A lot of people like Les Celebrites but it offers semi-buffet mainly so it really depends whether you like this sort of setting.
我15號有去過門口睇menu呀,但見唔吸引。改左去Doppio zero tagliatelle bolognese. 又幾好味wor. 分享一下

Thanks for your reply. I have tried Petrus, Chez Les Copains and St George – St George was the best but then of course it was also the most expensive. I’ll try Les Celibrites next time. Thanks for the recommendation. 😀
